Hello World podcast: Season 6 episode 2

The role of computing communities

APRIL 2, 2024 SEASON 6 EPISODE 2

Computing education has developed significantly over the past decade, with changes to formal curricula and the emergence of a wide range of clubs, competitions, and similar non-formal initiatives. This can be a challenging environment for computing educators as they try to choose and develop learning materials for students as well as further their own skills and practice. Today we explore the role computing communities can play in providing you with guidance, support, and inspiration.

How can educators connect with and make the most of computing communities, and how and why might they establish their own?
